Tbc shadowfang keep9/19/2023 ![]() Any class that can Dispel Magic may remove Pain and Suffering by that rout as well.It should be able to be done by a single person. Interrupt the spell Pain and Suffering as often as is possible. This fight is also very DPS oriented, for if your DPS is low you will not overcome his heals. Interrupt, interrupt, interrupt, and win. Light of Dawn(Paladin) used immediately after asphyxiate will allow you to interrupt his Stay of Execution after 1 tick, or as soon as it is cast, to minimize on his self healing, without worrying that someone will die from Pain and Suffering on the first tick. His overall DPS is very low, and after he is interrupted, he will usually pause a second before meleeing, giving time for a heal on the tank. Pain and Suffering(Basically like Mind Flay) will do little damage at first, and will increase in damage every time he applies his debuff(20% increased shadow damage, stacks to infinity) Mend Rotten Flesh will heal him for about 30% of his max life, about 3 second cast time. Stay of Execution(Used after Asphyxiate) will heal him(and you) for 10% max health per second(for 10 seconds?) You have to immolate them and either melee or use a non-shadow wand on them.They key to this fight is to interrupt as much as possible. The darksouls are immune to shadow damage. U can get 3 shadowbolts into them (at least) if you pull w/ one and shoot as they close and start hitting you. If you pull w/ shadowbolts and can take the punishment, they are not immune while they charge u. Even if you land dots before this, the dots don't harm them when this is up. The werewolves w/ "moon" in their name (in the courtyard) - when their hands glow green - are about to gain an 'invulnerability to magic' effect. I had to exit, group w/ someone, de-group (this reset the instanc) - and fight my way back to the darksouls again. These drop the large soran fragment you need, only my first time through - it never dropped. There you clear until you can cross, ahead and to your right, to the ramp up.įight up the ramp, and you enter a series of rooms. Free the wizard, and he'll open the door to the courtyard for you. In SFK you take the small door to the right after you enter and fight your way to the jail cells. Sorry, I forogt what dropped the quest items in bfd - I think it was the humanoids back in the maze/temple area. Finally went over to SFK last night just to finish this off (at lvl 44). I did the bfd part 20 lvls ago and had this quest (and those items) on me for ages. And you need groups (unless the quest has gone gray to you). Why? Hard to get groups in these dungeons. bring a party, or go at a higher level (I completed this at level 33, when it was green)Ĭomment by AllakhazamThis one is not easy, esp. 90% of the mobs along this quest are elite. from south shore, go north towards hillbrad and into silverpine. from Iron forge, go north into the wetlands, from there, into arathi to south shore. Since I play alliance, and it was difficult for me to find silverpine to begin with. The large shard should drop from a haunted survivor or one of the shadowfangs that are near the ramp area. it will kill you and send you back outside the instance to the beginning where you drop down to go into the caves.Įntering instance, turn right, free the prisoner and enter the courtyard. Special note: dont click on the alter if you decide to go ahead and kill the hydra for drops.
